Description

The World Computing-Power Network Conference-Academic 2026 (WCNCA 2026) invites original technical research contributions in the broad field of computing-power networks and related technologies. WCNCA 2026 aims to create an interdisciplinary forum for the emerging field of computing-power networks, where optical communication, networking, AI infrastructure, high-performance computing systems, and AI for Science are increasingly converging.

The rapid growth of large-scale AI, scientific computing, and data-intensive applications requires new networked computing infrastructures that integrate high-capacity optical transport, intelligent networking, distributed computing, computing resource scheduling, and application-driven AI systems. Existing research is often scattered across separate communities, and WCNCA 2026 seeks to bridge these areas and promote cross-layer innovation.

We welcome original research papers, technical papers, system papers, and industrial experience papers that present novel ideas, rigorous methods, practical systems, experimental evaluations, or insightful deployment experiences.

WCNCA 2026 invites submissions across four major research tracks, covering optical communication, networking, computing power, and applications.

Paper Types

WCNCA 2026 welcomes diverse forms of scholarly contributions. In addition to regular research papers, the conference also invites invited papers, challenge papers, and vision papers.

• Regular Research Papers: Original research contributions with clear technical novelty, sound methodology, and sufficient evaluation or validation.
• Invited Papers: Invited papers are expected to present representative advances, emerging topics, or insightful perspectives related to the corresponding track.
• Challenge Papers: Challenge papers focus on important open challenges, limitations, bottlenecks, or unresolved problems in computing-power networks and related areas. Such papers are not required to provide complete solutions or systematic quantitative evaluation, but should clearly identify the challenge, explain its significance, and discuss possible research directions.
• Vision Papers: Vision papers present forward-looking ideas, emerging research directions, new system concepts, or long-term development trends. Such papers are not required to include complete system implementation or comprehensive experimental results, but should provide a clear vision, convincing motivation, and potential impact.

Submission Guidelines

• Pre-submission of abstracts is required.
• All papers and abstracts must be submitted electronically via Microsoft CMT .
• Submissions must be written in English and formatted according to the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) style. For details on the LNCS style, see Springer's Author Instructions. Springer LNCS templates .
• Submissions are limited to 12 pages, excluding references. Submissions that exceed the page limit may be rejected without review. An optional appendix may be submitted separately and is not subject to the page limit. The appendix must follow the same formatting requirements as the main paper and may include reproducibility details, proofs, pseudocode, and other supplementary technical material.
• Each submission must present original work that has not been published or accepted in any peer-reviewed conference, journal, or archival proceedings, and must not be under review elsewhere at the time of submission.
• Submitted papers will be checked to ensure that they satisfy the submission criteria and are within the scope of WCNCA 2026. Submissions that violate the requirements may be subject to desk rejection without review.
• WCNCA 2026 adopts a double-blind review process. Submitted papers should not include author names, affiliations, acknowledgments, or other information that may reveal the authors' identities.
• Authors should refer to their own prior work in the third person where appropriate.
• Submissions will be evaluated based on originality, technical quality, relevance to WCNCA 2026, clarity of presentation, reproducibility, practical significance, and potential impact.
• Accepted papers will be included in the official conference proceedings.
• At least one author of each accepted paper must register for the conference and present the paper.

Review Criteria

Submissions will be evaluated by the program committee according to the following criteria:

• Originality and novelty of the contribution
• Relevance to WCNCA 2026 and computing-power networks
• Technical soundness and rigor of the proposed method
• Quality of evaluation, experiments, or system validation
• Clarity and quality of presentation
• Reproducibility and availability of supporting materials where applicable
• Potential impact on research, systems, applications, or industrial practice
